Refugees in Salt Lake City

I had no idea there were as many refugees living in Salt Lake as there are. This post really opened my eyes. Am I the only one that had no idea?

    Did you know that alot of the refugees are from the Bosnian war? I work with a woman who is married to a Croatian and his family left Croatia on a boat in the middle of the night to escape to American during the war. They ended up staying 8 years until the country was stable enough to return. And, personally, I would probably not want to return to my homeland after experiencing such violence and displacment. Too tragic...
